Christmas Alliance with Atheists or God

True Christianity is not so much about our being able to follow a system of rules to be holier than others in our own righteousness, but a personal relationship with God who helps us to become holy. Not God the autocratic judging dictator, but God the mentoring forgiving shepherd.

He made himself humble and weak like us so we could relate to him. He allowed himself to be persecuted and murdered on our behalf, in place of us.

Of course mankind is responsible for many atrocities in the world, we have all rebelled against God. If God were to deal with us as we deserve would he not have the judicial right to judge us for our rebellion and selfishness?

Most serious historians agree he was a very real person. Jesus didn't come as a judge but as a saviour. This Christmas I don't want an empty mythical Santa Christmas but a celebration of Jesus the real saviour of the world

The original word for faith in the Bible did not mean unthinking belief as some think, but the word means to be persuaded of something. This implies reason and using the mind. Through the historical Christmas account God shows us that he has offered his Son Jesus Christ as a gift to the world.
